Cinemark 16 and XD in Harlingen reopened today with new safety guidelines.

The Cinemark company is now requiring employees to wear face masks and gloves while they work. They must undergo a cleaning and sanitizing training in addition to completing a wellness check-in prior to each shift. 

Locations in Edinburg, Pharr and Brownsville are scheduled to reopen on Aug. 21.
