ALAMO – Neighbors are seeking justice for a Rio Grande Valley veteran who was assaulted.

The 86-year-old veteran tells us this might be a random act of violence.

"He held a gun at me… Well I tried to disarm it. And I think he fired a pellet into my side,” he explains.

KRGV’s Angelo Vargas learned the veteran was being watched and so were the suspects.

The veteran’s neighbor tells us she was able to get footage. She now wants justice.
