EDINBURG – A man accused in a fatal accident last December wants to work.

Mitchell Garcia Treviño is currently waiting for his trial. His attorney requested a drug test.

Treviño has been out on bond since July.

He's accused of driving drunk when he crashed into a Hidalgo County EMS ambulance killing medical technician Felipe Huerta Jr. and patient Delia Cortines.

The judge says there would be conditions if Treviño finds work.

The Hidalgo County district attorney wants him under house arrest until his trial.
