NEAR FALFURRIAS – U.S. Border Patrol said agents found a body concealed in a seized tractor-trailer rig at the Falfurrias checkpoint.

The body was found on Friday, three days after agents confiscated the 18-wheeler. 

On Tuesday, agents rescued a Mexican national and arrested a suspected human smuggler. 

The Brooks County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death.

Border Patrol is not saying how the body went undetected for three days.
