EDINBURG – The Bert Ogden Arena announced its first sporting event that it'll host. 

WWE Live will take place Friday, Sept. 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the new arena, located in Edinburg. 

Tickets to this event will go on sale to the public on Friday, July 13. 

The new arena was built using 95 percent of local subcontractors, helping bring over $200 million into the local economy and providing over 2,700 jobs in the Rio Grande Valley. 

A spokesperson said, "this arena was built by the people of the RGV, for the people of the RGV."

Bert Ogden Arena will be the largest entertainment venue in South Texas with 9,000 seating capacity. It will also be the home of the RGV Vipers.
