Suspects Wanted in Aggravated Robbery Investigation

EDINBURG – Hidalgo County sheriff’s investigators want the public’s help to track down two men involved in an aggravated robbery.

Deputies say on Sunday, April 8, they responded to a home on East Sharp Road on Mile 17 North in Edinburg.

They say a victim reported two armed men showed up to his Edinburg home demanding drugs and money.

A Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department press release states the victim reported being pistol-whipped by one of the suspects.

Authorities say Joe Wally Valdez and another suspect fled the scene in a light-colored SUV.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 956-383-8117.
