WESLACO – A prospective student who allegedly took a gun to school is in custody. It happened at Weslaco High School on Friday.
Weslaco police say the 17-year-old was trying to enroll at the school. Another student allegedly saw him in the bathroom with the gun.
The student and his parent had left campus by the time a resource officer was alerted.
No threats were made and parents were notified.
