MISSION – The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drowning at Bentsen State Park.

The incident happened Sunday around 9 p.m.

Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jena Palacios told CHANNEL 5 NEWS an autopsy will be ordered on the man who drowned.

Park officials said swimming is not allowed at the lake for safety reasons.
