Mosquitoes are a growing concern.
Spray trucks will be out on Wednesday night in McAllen. They will spray between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.
"The reality is the mosquito lives about seven days. It takes about a week for it to be a small little nymph mosquito and actually grow into an adult mosquito that's laying eggs. The reality is the eggs can last 10 years and hatch with water," Hidalgo County Health Authority Dr. Ivan Melendez said.
The county is monitoring, counting and trapping mosquitos as needed.
