WESALCO – The National Weather Service has a warning for those living in colonias.

NWS officials say code compliance in colonias is an issue.

They say several of the homes are not built to withstand wind speeds such the ones that occurred Tuesday morning.

The NWS will be starting a program to make sure compliance is up-to-date in all homes in colonias.
