The city of Mercedes is teaming up with a Houston-based charity to provide working computers to families.

According to a news release, families without a working computer at home can qualify for a free computer with a two-year warranty and tech support.

The city is teaming up with the charity Compudopt to provide the computers.

Registration is available online, and families will be notified via text and email if they’ve been selected.
