Fatal Accident North of Donna

NORTH OF DONNA – DPS troopers are investigating a fatal accident north of Donna. A man on a motorcycle collided with a tractor truck on FM 493.
The motorcyclist was taken to Knapp Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Troopers identified the man as 20-year-old Tino Ramirez of Weslaco. The driver of the tractor truck wasn’t injured.
The accident happened around 9:50 p.m. Monday. According to their preliminary investigation, DPS troopers said the motorcyclist was heading south on FM 493, and the driver of the tractor truck was attempting to make a right turn onto FM 493 from Atlanta Road.
