Texas Historical Commission Funds Willacy Co. Courthouse Renovation
RAYMONDVILLE – Willacy County is working to restore an old courthouse in Raymondville.
The plan to renovate the nearly century-old building started seven years ago. The county received an emergency grant from the Texas Historical Commission.
They have a little more than $400,000 for the renovation.
The courthouse was mainly used for storage but nobody has worked out of it for several years. The facility was declared a historical committee.
The county is looking into the next steps for the project.
