STC's Art Exhibit by Women Continues to Grow
MCALLEN – An art exhibit is showcasing pieces of work by women and making an impact in the Rio Grande Valley.
The exhibit, which started small, is on the walls of the first and second floors of South Texas College’s main campus in McAllen. It’s called “100 Women, 100 Words.”
The exhibit started with 10 names but now has 140 names on the walls. Each artist was given a 6-by-6-inch canvas and was asked to write a little history but was limited to 100 words.
It was put together by Patricia Ballinger and Gina Otvos.
