BROWNSVILLE – The son of an alleged cartel boss is being held without bond in Brownsville.

Police arrested Osiel Cardenas, Jr. at a Brownsville bar Tuesday night.

Cardenas is charged with unlawful possession of a gun and false report to peace officers.

He’s the son of former Gulf Cartel leader Osiel Cardenas, Sr. He is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence for drug trafficking.
