UPDATE (5/3): A sinkhole that appeared on Highway 100 has been repaired. 

Crews started working on the damage after it as first reported early Wednesday morning. 

They still don't know what caused the road to cave.

NEAR LOS FRESNOS – Texas Department of Transportation crews are working to repair a sinkhole near Los Fresnos.

TxDot Spokesman Octavio Saenz says they don’t know what caused the area on Highway 100 to sink on Wednesday. 

The highway is reduced to only two lanes until the sinkhole is repaired.
