UPDATE (3/8): The U.S. citizen who died in the shooting at an international bridge has been identified.

Investigators confirm the victim was Rocio Aldrete, a notary public for a transmigrante business in Los Indios.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection official says the shooting happened just far enough down the bridge that it’s considered to be on the Mexican side of the border.

LOS INDIOS – Authorities say one person is dead, and three others are injured, following a shooting at an international bridge between the U.S. and Mexico.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection official says the shooting happened just far enough down the bridge that it’s considered to be on the Mexican side of the border.

South Texas Emergency Care, an EMS service in Harlingen, says the shooting was reported at 12:45 p.m.

A representative for the Secretary of Public Safety in Tamaulipas says three people were injured and one person was killed in a shooting incident.
