SAN BENITO – A San Benito man was killed in a hit-and-run accident that happened over the weekend.

Police are looking for the vehicle that struck and killed 46-year-old Willie Lee Williams, Jr.

Early Sunday, at 12:40 a.m., police patrol found Williams unresponsive along Frontage Road, near Stephanie Lane.

The officer who found Williams says he noticed the 46-year-old had injuries consistent with someone who had been hit by a motor vehicle.

Medical personnel arrived on the scene to provide assistance, where Williams was pronounced dead.

Authorities say they’re looking for a maroon passenger vehicle, possibly a Nissan Sentra, with damage to its front passenger side.

If anyone had any information regarding this case are urged to call the San Benito Police Department at 956-361-3880.
