SAN JUAN – San Juan police are urging property owners to thoroughly check their potential tenants.  

Taking extra measures can help prevent your property from being used for illegal activity such as stash houses, much like the bust that took place Thursday.

The chief of police tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS owners need to ask more questions.

KRGV’s Christian Colón spoke with a local broker about what property owners should be on the lookout for.

Broker Mike Blum says the tenants’ financial information is equally important as their criminal background.
