WESLACO- A neighborhood boxing gym won't be opening in the next couple of weeks as planned.

Noe Mendoza of Las Brisas Boxing Gym said in the middle of making repairs from last year's floods, his business was hit again.

He told CHANNEL 5 NEWS his neighborhood has flooded eight times since 2000.

"We were getting ready to start opening it up again this summer, to get ready for the Games of Texas that will be held again in College Station," Mendoza said. "It's not going to happen again."

CHANNEL 5'S Cecilia Gutierrez spoke to him about hopes for his business' future.
