Mission home bringing bright Christmas spirit to the Valley
A home in Mission is giving the glitz and glam of hundreds of Christmas lights and brightening Cassandra Street.
Beto Hinojosa and his family are the masterminds behind the elaborate display of lights that includes a Christmas train, a fog machine and a bubble maker.
With tons of decorations that have been donated by family, friends and neighbors over the years, it marks the first time ever decorating in the Rio Grande Valley.
For the past 10 years, they have lived in Boerne and even taken home the title of champions for ABC's Great Christmas Light Fight in 2021.
Hinojosa says it's made him super happy to bring the Christmas spirit to the Valley.
"The goal and idea is to just continue having a free light show for people to enjoy. I got a 10, a 3, and a 5-year-old. So the next 20 years is going to be Christmas lights galore," Hinojosa said.
The display is free for the public to enjoy. It is located at 1815 Cassandra Street and will be up till January 6.
