MCALLEN – The city of McAllen is outsourcing the collection of just over $900,000 in parking citations to a Wisconsin-based company.

The company is called Duncan Solutions.

City commissioners voted in favor of the motion on Monday. This is a no-cost solution for the city.

A 30 percent fee will be added to the citations. The city will collect the outstanding debt and Duncan will keep the added fee.

About $922,000 remain from the city’s prior collection attempts.

The money collected will go to city improvements.
