ISLA BLANCA – It’s the unofficial start of summer but already dozens of RVs have claimed their spot at Isla Blanca Park.

The county is investing over $20 million in improvements throughout the park, including the addition of an amphitheater.

The construction is done in phases in order to keep the park open.

Amenities around the park should be completed by April of next year.

KRGV’s Daisy Martinez spoke to county officials about the project.
