Hidalgo Co. Candidates Speak to PSJA Students
PHARR – Election Day is March 6 and polling locations opened for early voters. The students of PSJA were given a chance to meet with Hidalgo County candidates and understand the voting process.
The candidates from the county were invited to speak to the students. Each one was given three minutes. And each student received a score card based on agendas set by the Texas Education Agency.
The rally is part of a national effort to get all high school seniors to register to vote. PSJA government teachers, Rey Perez and Marco Villegas, spearhead the project every year.
The event is called My Voice is My Vote.
Watch the video to hear from the students.
