BROWNSVILLE - The Valley International Country Club's clubhouse is considered a total loss after a fire. The cause is under investigation.

Fire crews in Brownsville were monitoring hot spots Saturday night. The country club is located on County Club Road, near West Ruben M. Torres Boulevard.

Brownsville's fire chief said one firefighter was taken to the emergency room for heat exhaustion. Everyone inside the clubhouse got out safely.
