Cameron Co. Sheriff Confirms Bullet Came from Mexico in Fatal Levee Shooting
BROWNSVILLE – Cameron County Sheriff Omar Lucio has confirmed a bullet that killed a jogger along the Rio Grande did come from Mexico.
Miguel Hernandez, 57, was running along the levee June 19 when he was shot.
Authorities from Tamaulipas were in the Rio Grande Valley this week to discuss the case with local investigators.
The gunfire was believed to have come from a small white truck.
