BROWNSVILLE – Police in Brownsville  issued an arrest warrant for a pool and patio contractor.

Officials say 38-year-old Obed Roque Valencia allegedly took thousands of dollars from several people in the Rio Grande Valley.

Brownsville police say he is wanted for felony theft, relating to the company by the name of Real Grill Masters.

“The victim signed a contract and the victim made a down payment of 11,000 thousand dollars to begin the construction work. And the suspect never began that construction work,” says Melissa Gonzalez, the public information officer for Brownsville police.

This led the victim to report it to police in September.
