14-Year-Old Dead, 2 Remain Hospitalized after ATV Rollover in Cameron Co.

UPDATE (6/5): The Cameron County Sheriff's Office released the name of the teenager who was killed in an ATV rollover.

It happened near Military 281 and Cobarrubias Road around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Sheriff Omar Lucio identified the teen as 14-year-old Nestor Eduardo Vasquez.

Authorities say the driver of the ATV was speeding on the shoulder of the road when they crashed.

A 17-year-old and 15-year-old remain in serious condition.

The cause of the accident is unknown.

BLUETOWN – Two people are in serious condition after a four-wheeler rollover.

This happened on Military Highway in Bluetown.

Department of Public Safety Lieutenant Johnny Hernandez says three people were on the four-wheeler at the time.

DPS is assisting in the investigation.
