Two Driver Killed in Monte Alto Crash

MONTE ALTO – A two-vehicle crash left two people dead Saturday.

DPS Lieutenant Johnny Hernandez tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS the crash happened just after 10 p.m. Saturday off FM 88, north of Mile 21.

He says one vehicle was traveling north, the other south when one of the drivers lost control.

Hernandez says the vehicle veered into the oncoming lane and collided with the other vehicle.

25-year-old Eduardo Mendoza and 56-year-old Myra Belcher were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation
