RAYMONDVILLE – A new contract to reopen the Willacy County prison has local residents hopeful for growth.

This reopening could be economically beneficial for job seekers and taxpayers in the area.

Management and Training Corporation says they recently hired 75 people and will continue to hire more.

KRGV’s Christian Von Preysing spoke with a mother of two who just landed a job as a secretary.

MTC says more jobs will become available at El Valle Detention Facility and will be posted on their website.
