Cameron County Sheriff Eric Garza confirmed the discovery of the body in a social media post made Thursday morning.

"Justice of the Peace Bennie Ochoa IV has ordered an autopsy. Investigation is ongoing," the post stated.
Multiple units responded to the scene including a dive team and a drone unit, Brownsville Fire Chief Jarrett Sheldon said.
