Properly Shredding Documents is Key for Identity Theft Protection

Sunny Soroosh said it is a safe place to dispose of hundreds of patient files.
Soroosh explains the event helps their bottom line, "(we have) a lot of confidential medical information and it can be really expensive for us to do that."
The BBB wasn't only helping help get rid of physical documents, people with computers, cell phones and tablets were also welcome.
BBB President Dolores Salinas explains throwing out old electronics can put you at risk, she says, "if you allow that to happen you open yourself up to identity theft and fraud."
The next BBB shredding event will be in the fall.
