New Horizon Health Center comes to Laguna Vista

A new medical clinic opened Tuesday at Laguna Vista.
The clinic is operated by New Horizon Health Center.
“Our citizens [having] affordable health care close their homes means everything to them,” Laguna Vista Mayor Michael Carter said.
The new clinic marks New Horizon’s first location outside the city of Brownsville.
“As we continue to do our research and look at where the highest needs are in the lower Rio Grande Valley, this was one of the zip codes — and the surrounding zip codes of Laguna Vista were off the charts in terms of unmet needs scores,” New Horizon Health Center CEO Jason Wallace said.
The new clinic offers services for people with and without insurance.
