MCALLEN – Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a fatal accident that happened in Mission early Saturday morning.
According to DPS, the single-vehicle crash happened Saturday just before 1 a.m. on Inspiration Road south of Mile 4.
Troopers said 32-year-old Aaron Lee Morales of McAllen was driving a black Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound at an unsafe speed. DPS said Morales lost control and veered off the roadway, hitting a pole. He was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
