Liliana De Moss found a man she liked going by the name “Lars Anderson” who claimed to be working abroad.
They would text every day and the questions became more personal.
“He started asking about how much money do you make. How many hours do you work? Do you have other jobs? Do you have family that helps you with money?” said De Moss.
She says her moment of regret came after Anderson claimed he was in trouble in a foreign country and needed help with money.
The Better Business Bureau says catfishing cases are becoming more common.
