A concrete bench was stolen from a cemetery plot in La Grulla, according to police.
According to Ricardo Treviño, an investigator with the La Grulla Police Department, the family reported the theft on Monday morning from Solis Cemetery, located at 636 W Pvt. Lazaro Solis Street.
“This bench means a lot to the family,” Treviño said.
The bench, along with the concrete underneath it, was taken.
Treviño said the theft is a first for the department
“We've never encountered anyone stealing from a cemetery, so we need help to get information on who might have taken it,” Treviño said.
