House set to vote on $2,000 stimulus check

On Tuesday night, President Donald Trump said he wanted lawmakers to increase the COVID relief bill stimulus checks from $600 per person to $2,000.
"We've been proposing and pushing for higher stimulus checks to working families," U.S. Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-McAllen said. "It was Mitch McConnell who wasn't open to that proposal and blocked that idea."
The House will vote by unanimous consent on Thursday to pass the new measure for $2,000 stimulus checks.
