Valley International Airport in Harlingen announced Tuesday it would be adding a twice-weekly nonstop flight to Las Vegas, Nevada, starting in September.
Airport officials partnered with Frontier Airlines to unveil the nonstop flight, adding that, for a limited time, an exciting destination like Las Vegas will start at just $49 for a one-way ticket.
“The dynamic of travel have changed drastically over the last year and a half,” International and Domestic Sales Manager for Frontier Airlines Alfredo Gonzalez said. “We look for vibrant, exciting, diverse destinations that people are looking for.”
The goal is to get more people back in the air, creating more revenue for the city in return.
