Governor Abbott: Additional $15M Awarded to Operation Stonegarden

WESLACO – Millions more in taxpayer money are now designated for border security.
Governor Greg Abbott announced Tuesday, that the budget for "Operation Stonegarden" has grown by $15 million, on top of $9 million announced in May.
The money helps local and county law enforcement agencies deal with immigration and border-related "calls."
According to the release, these funds ensure that law enforcement partners are equipped with the resources they need to confront the complex and dynamic challenges that exist along the Texas border.
