Flights Suspended at Laredo Airport Due to Fatal Plane Crash

UPDATE (3/9): Operations at the Laredo International Airport are back up and running.
The airport was shut down after a small plane crashed, killing two people.
A video showing moments after the plane went down near the airport was released.
Preliminary reports show the pilot was trying to land after smoke started to spew from the plane.
The identities of the victims are not being released yet.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the aircraft was registered to a man who lives on the outskirts of Laredo.

LAREDO – All flights in and out of Laredo are on hold after a crash killed two people onboard a small airplane.
The Laredo Police Department says a twin-engine plane crashed at the edge of the grounds of the Laredo International Airport before 11 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the fire department put out a large blaze that did not damage any adjacent property.
At the moment, all cargo and passenger flights from Laredo are suspended.
