BROOKS COUNTY - One person is dead and four others injured after a crash in Brooks County Saturday night.
The collision happened on Highway 281 about 14 miles south of Falfurrias. The Texas Department of Public Safety says a Ford pickup truck failed to yield the right of way and struck a Chevrolet S-U-V.
One person inside the pickup truck was killed. Two others were taken to a hospital in Corpus Christi in serious condition.
Two people in the S-U-V suffered non-life threatening injuries. They were taken to McAllen Medical Center.
