MCALLEN – Tim's Coats received a large donation Tuesday to help keep Rio Grande Valley children in-need warm this winter.
The Edinburg Rotary Club purchased $5,000 worth of brand new children's coats at Walmart in Edinburg, that’s 364 coats for children in the Valley.
The coats are already in the hands of the Salvation Army and Catholic Charities, the two organizations which will distribute the coats across the Valley.
This is the second year in a row the Rotary Club of Edinburg has donated $5,000 to Tim’s Coats; it’s the two biggest cash donations we have ever received.
