SOUTH PADRE ISLAND--The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake off the coast of South Padre Island.
The 3.0 magnitude earthquake happened Saturday and had a depth of 10 miles. A 3.0 magnitude is considered small.
South Padre Island city manager Susan Guthrie said there's no reports of damage. She said they were given an alert---but there's no known threat to the Island. South Padre Island police chief Randy Smith said the police and fire departments are also monitoring the earthquake with the state and there are no concerns.
