Body Found in McAllen Home, Cause of Death Unknown

MCALLEN – The McAllen Police Department is investigating the death of a man in his 50s.
All police are reporting is they are investigating a deceased male and the cause of death is undetermined.
Police received a call around 10:15 Thursday morning about the body and responded to apartments on 32nd Street in between Harvey Avenue and Highland Street.
Justice of the Peace Homer Jasso pronounced the man dead. He said the man was 56 years old.
Jasso said the apartment the man was found in belongs to a woman who met the man last night at a Stripes store.
The two came back to the woman’s apartment and this morning the woman found him unresponsive on her sofa.
The JP ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The man’s name hasn’t been released.
Police are still at the scene with their mobile crime scene unit. They also called a wrecker to take a white Town and Country van from the area.
