Irma Valdez, 51, died as a result of the blaze.
City Fire Marshal Juan Jalomo says medical examiner results show she died of smoke inhalation and had high levels of carbon monoxide in her system.

MCALLEN – A woman is dead after an early morning fire in McAllen.
The flames destroyed three homes and caused damage to two others.
Fire crews received the call at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday to the 2200 block of Date Palm Avenue.
McAllen Fire Chief Rafael Balderas confirmed a woman is dead and three children were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Balderas says the children have already been released.
He tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS a combined total of 13 people live in three of the houses that burned down.
The fire chief notes that the blaze spread quickly due to the close proximity of the homes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
