EDINBURG – Seven people arrested and four are on the run; they’re all tied to a kidnapping in Hidalgo County.

Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra alleges the case also links to drug smuggling by members of a transnational criminal organization.

Three of the suspects involved are minors.

The two men kidnapped were taken because they allegedly stole narcotics.
