SOUTH PADRE ISLAND - A 20-year-old woman was charged in a hit-and-run accident that injured five people.
Daisy Joy Decker was arraigned Sunday afternoon. Decker was charged with multiple counts of accident involving personal injury in connection to the auto-pedestrian accident that happened early Friday morning.
Officials say emergency responders arrived within minutes and found three victims in the roadway with serious injuries and two others on the side of the roadway with minor injuries. The victims involved in the accident range from ages 16 to 22 years old.
South Padre Island police said Decker was given a bond of $130,000.
