LOS FRESNOS – The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal head-on collision near Los Fresnos.
The two-vehicle accident happened Wednesday night just before 11 along Highway 100.
DPS said the driver of a Jeep veered into the eastbound lanes and hit a Cadillac SRX.
The 53-year-old driver of the Cadillac died at the scene. CHANNEL 5 NEWS is told she’s from Austin.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville. The driver hasn’t been identified, but we’re told he did not suffer life threatening injuries.
