KJ Doyle
KJ joined KRGV in July 2024 after spending the previous two years as a sports director in Amarillo, Texas.
He attended Full Sail University, where he graduated as the valedictorian of his class in May 2022. During his two years in Florida attending college, he spent his free time as a play-by-play commentator for various different sports, which was primarily done through Rollins College as part of a partnership with his program. Prior to and during college, he spent time writing about Boston sports and creating content for various different websites.
He started as a news producer in Portland, Maine briefly prior to accepting his previous position in Amarillo. He's always been interested in the idea of covering high school football in Texas, which drew him to stay in the state and come down to the Valley.
KJ is originally from New Hampshire. His favorite sports teams all reside in New England, with the only exception being the Michigan Wolverines. His favorite sport is basketball. He and his grandmother bonded over their shared love of the sport in his younger years.
The connection he had with his grandmother is a big part of what fueled his passion to get into this industry. He knows how a love of sports can bring people closer together, and hopes he can help the people of the Valley enjoy those same moments with their family and friends.
In his spare time, KJ loves playing basketball, visiting the beach, going to the movies and, of course, watching sports.
