Hey, I'm Gloria Morelia Bilingual Sports Anchor/ Reporter for Noticias RGV and Channel 5.

I moved to the Rio Grande Valley from Denver, Colorado in 2023 when I accepted the weekend Sports Anchor position.

I graduated with my Journalism and Broadcast degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver and started my career at a local radio station as the Sports anchor where I covered Colorado local sports. KRGV gave me the opportunity to make my transition over to TV where I have been able to connect with the community in ways I didn’t think were possible. 

My love for sports started at a young age when I had the crazy idea that I could be an MLB pitcher one day and quickly realized I wouldn't be able to fulfill that dream. But I could, however, talk about sports for hours. 

At 10 years old, I knew I wanted to be a Sports Anchor. I had a dream, dedicated myself to it and today I can say I’m living the dream.

Little girls with dreams, become women with vision. Women belong in sports
